The Skid Pan Experience
The skid pan experience is a great way to team build within companies or to say thank you to staff or provide hospitality days for valued customers.
Skids don't just happen; they are caused when a tyre loses its grip on the road surface normally through excessive speed, harsh braking or acceleration by the driver. In snow, icy or wet conditions, statistics show in over half of the accidents that skidding was a primary cause.
The first time most people experience a skid is when it is actually happening to them! Most people's natural reaction is to panic or freeze which is the worse thing you can do.
The Skid Pan Experience combines fun with safety in a secure controlled environment.
It will sensitize your reflexes to a skid (vehicle out of control, unstable condition) and enable your reflexes to respond, while your mind is otherwise still thinking about it.
Skid Pan Courses
The courses available on our Skid Pan are designed for group visits, corporate outings, team building and hospitality days for value customers. For corporate outings we have the facilities to tailor our courses to your business requirements.
For a day to remember for that special occasion, birthday, anniversary, Christmas presents etc. 1 or 2 people is ideal (but any number up to 10 per session).
All our skid pan instructors are ex Police advanced drivers. We provide our own cars and all we require is that you have a full driving licence. A minimum of 6 months practical on-road experience would be ideal but not essential.
The Skid Pan Experience is available 7 days a week.
Sessions are available mornings, afternoons and evenings (during the summer period), from 8am to 9pm.
Light refreshments are provided and there are restaurant facilities within a short distance.
